About the Art
Water sculptures: beautiful to look at, incredibly labor intensive to create. It starts with an idea or a reference picture, then enters a multi-step, multi day long process to get to the final state, ready for your home. Each piece is meant to evoke that specific feeling of delight and joy that happens when you set eyes on your happy place.
CARING FOR YOUR ART:
These pieces are made out of the highest grade epoxy resin and last a long time. However, because resin is not an archival material (kind of like oil paintings), it will evolve over time and may develop a warm tint as it ages, particularly if regularly exposed to sunlight.
To maintain its original clarity, display your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. (Basically don't put it outside and mind those window sun paths). This natural transformation is part of the material’s lifecycle. By purchasing, you are embracing both the beauty of the piece today and its subtle changes over time.
Also - these pieces are HEAVY. Please please be careful to attach it to the wall securely. Each piece will come with a weight estimate so that you can purchase adequate wall mounting materials.
About the Artist
After 12 years as a licensed couples therapist and exactly zero formal art training, Ashley took one sculpting class one time. She does not know how to be chill about anything, so she immediately fell in love and has been compulsively creating
ever since. She’s been obsessed with water of all kinds for her entire life - but cut her teeth on the coffee brown rivers of Louisiana and the emerald green ocean of 30A. There is nothing better than helping collectors experience the peace and delight of water all year round. Long live vacation level joy!
Ashley is a South Louisiana native who is raising her family in Palm Beach County, South Florida. Now that she has experienced living near the ocean, she will never, ever leave. She also has no idea how to write a real artist bio as she is fundamentally a snarky person with a slight allergy to earnestness, so this will have to do.
